YOur donation will bring dance to a child

BrockusED goes into schools and working with students who have very limited or no exposure to dance lessons. Our free dance lessons create joy and feeling of accomplishment that is so wonderful to see in the students. The students in these elementary schools from 1st graders to 5th graders have a bright spot in their day filled with creativity and laughter as they explore dance.

Your donation will provide more Long Beach kids access to BrockusED's program. Join us in changing the future of Long Beach one child at a time by supporting this free dance program in two of our elementary schools

BrockusRED is our professional performance and company, and the amazing dancers and the company director are also the teaching artists that work with the students.

Dance is a great way to build teamwork, improve academic success, physical fitness and decrease stress with creative expression.
BrockusED uses dance to promote academic excellence with actively applying the concepts of math, science, literature, history and biology in the dance classes. Teamwork, social interaction and life-long physical fitness are also in the curriculum being taught in dance.Studies show that dance and physical activity stimulate the brain and improve cognitive function and emotional release.

Students will develop in this dance program: body awareness, movement communication skills, elements of moving through space, connections between dance and a healthy life style, ability to express feeling and images and thought, understanding of human diversity, physical application of academic studies such as geometry and physics.

We are back in north Long Beach at 2 elementary schools !

William A. McKinley Elementary School 6822 Paramount Blvd

We work with the students at each school 5 hours per week and for the after school session we provide nutrition food for these youngsters who rely on the school time for their meals. We provide everything for Free for all the students

$5 = ½ of nutritious snack for the day

$10 = one child receives a week of classes

$20 = nutritious snacks for the students for a week

$50 = one child gets a whole month of dance lessons

$100 = Twelve  team T- shirts  for the students

$250 = five students have dance for a month

$500 = T-shirts for the whole group of kids to wear proudly as part of a team

$750 = pays for a whole month of dance for 15 students
